Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBernie is endangering the very people he's claiming to want to protect.
This is getting ridiculous. Bernie is losing Arizona, Florida, and Illinois. He's simply not going to win this. His insistence on a standing debate was a backfire and made Biden look even more presidential by comparison. Since Article Two makes it pretty impossible to postpone the Presidential election, and since other items on the ballot can be postponed, Bernie is essentially endangering the very people he's claiming to want to help with Medicare-for-All by keeping these primaries going! He isn't going to win and staying in is only going to kill people at this point so he really should drop out.
For those bellowing the old line about voices being heard, voices require working lungs. There's no point in wasting any air on something that just isn't going to happen.

(10,824 posts)and not getting behind Biden. He had five years with this revolution and it is a fail. Now is the time for Sanders to do the right thing. Personally, I do not think he is capable and I think his history proves me right.

(1,729 posts)There is that! I've got Republican friends going on and on about how badly Trumpty Dumpty is handling this virus. I mean it's really embarrassing and, in a stream of already embarrassing behavior over the past several years, it's a new low! And you can't help but wonder if it's about his hotels or if it's about his golf courses or whether he thinks keeping the test kit supply low let's him act like everything is ok.
I have never hated a human being with the amount of ferocity that I despise this president. I already hated Bernie for being a spoiler that, along with Comey, helped this dolt get into office. I am really starting to hate him for helping Trump stay there.

(4,488 posts)Joe had over 1,100 delegates. That might have been a projection. I'm racing back and forth between numbers with a few local races and also kinda tired. But the point is, Joe is well on his way. He IS the presumptive nominee.
Bernie is only attempting to be a thorn in the side at this point in time. What's it gonna to take for common sense to overcome him?

(1,729 posts)This is far worse.
Let's face it, many, many older people are going to go out and vote regardless. It's what they do. This virus may keep some home but not all. So how many of these people will be endangered because Bernie wants Joe to understand his polices better.
FFS Bernie, we understand your policies
and many of us just aren't interested in how you plan to get there!

(4,488 posts)I'm trying to soft pedal my comments a bit because well, I'm opinionated and let my true feelings about Sanders known at times. But yes, Bernie is risking lives by staying in. He has no path to the nomination after tonight.

Shit's got real. I haven't left this house in weeks and I'm pretty pissed off that both our moron of A president and this simpleton of a candidate are helping to keep it going.
Soft-pedaling is not something I'm known for on my best day, but these days, it's scorched earth.
