In the parlance, an 'asset' is a person or organization which can be relied on to act in a way that serves an agency's interests. An 'asset' may be witting or unwitting, may be recruited or merely encouraged or subsidized, openly or surreptitiously, in cash or kind. Kind in political manipulation including assistance in keeping an 'asset' in the public eye.

"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

It was condensed a bit to fit the character limit in place on our signature lines, and one small change was made. "People become uneasy' was substituted for 'rites and rituals cannot be performed properly'. Since uneasiness among the people was considered a consequence of improperly performed rites and rituals, and the original would convey little meaning to most, I thought it an appropriate substitution. Note I am familiar only with English translations, I cannot make head nor tail of Chinese characters.

More like what Russians call a “useful idiot.” My best guess is that Russia propped her up as much as they could to divide the party, but eventually they saw that no one paid any attention to her, so they let her go.

Endorsing Biden instead of Bernie was a mild surprise. Maybe she just wanted to be on the winning side.

The desperation of some of the Bernie supporters is mildly amusing at this point.

But we get it... gotta get those last digs in behind a thin pretense of sincerity and curiosity prior to lecturing others about "reaching out to independent voters..."
