Biden to Trump on coronavirus: 'Stop saying false things that will make you sound like a hero'

(CNN)Joe Biden on Friday lambasted President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic, telling Trump to "stop swerving between over-promising, buck-passing, and start delivering protection to our people."

"He's all over the map. In a crisis we need leadership that's straightforward, clear and reliable," the former vice president, who has been home in Wilmington, Delaware, said during a call with reporters. Biden has built a near-insurmountable lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic 2020 nomination.

Biden said Trump is "behind the curve" and "promising results he has not delivered and announcing actions that he has not even ordered," pointing to Trump's comments that don't match reality on the availability of coronavirus tests and a vaccine.
He also criticized Trump for claiming to have invoked the Defense Production Act, allowing for a government-mandated increase in production of supplies like masks and ventilators -- which Biden had urged him to do -- while not using its authority to order American companies to scale up production.
"When these things don't come through, you exacerbate their concern," Biden said. "Stop saying false things that will make you sound like a hero."

He's intentionally lied and mislead the American people by putting out misinformation , making his credibility even lower, and using false statements is being too nice, he's lying repeatedly knowing its not the truth. He's failing horribly while claiming the opposite making more lose confidence, and with the markets we see a no confidence spiral downward when he lies to us all. Its to the point using the 25th should be used to prevent complete destruction of our country from him, before its too late.

Or Bush II was at 55% on 9/12/2001, they'd be in huge trouble.

A good 30-35% of that 55% is strictly rally round the flag in a crisis

A much better poll question would be who would you prefer to be in charge during this crisis, Obama or Donnie Shit for Brains.

Ask that question and he would get nothing but his 30% ball washers.

I believe the Biden campaign needs to walk a fine line with what they say right now, they don't want to appear as if they're cheering for tRump to fail yet they need to forcefully call out lies (and of course opportunities for that abound).

You don't have a lifelong career like Joe Biden and not understand people on a deep level. Joe Biden doesn't take any BS.

the crisis would still be horrible and society-changing, but at least we would have a firm hand at the helm.

Did you all see Rachel last night? She is furious about Trump's complete lack of leadership. It was an epic rant, after which she wept as she signed off. She does not believe Trump's pressers should be televised any more because of the misinformation.

Trump is a pathological liar. I don't think he can help it - it is how he is wired. But we cannot have that in a crisis like this. I don't want to hear about some malaria drug that will supposedly be a miracle cure, and I don't want to see our president castigate a member of the media for asking what he has to say to people who are scared.

That was pathetic. Pathetic. Trump's criticism of the media during this crisis is pathetic, and very destructive.

Putin must be quite proud of his little orange puppet, but Russia also has the virus, so soon he'll have bigger fish to fry.

I never thought this nation would fall so far so fast, and to have a crisis like without strong central leadership is a disaster in and of itself.

Trump needs to be removed from office. He cannot do the job.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
