Biden trashes Trump over coronavirus response: 'Step up and do your job, Mr. President'

Joe Biden, the 2020 Democratic front-runner, slammed President Donald Trump over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic Friday, accusing him of being “behind the curve through his whole response.”

Biden, speaking on a conference call with reporters, offered a series of blunt missives for Trump, and criticized him for repeatedly providing the American people with misinformation about the virus.

“Step up and do your job, Mr. President,” Biden said.

“In times of crisis, the American people deserve a president who tells them the truth,” Biden said. “Unfortunately, President Trump has not been that president.”

“People are scared. They’re worried. They don’t know quite what to do," he added. “He has been behind the curve throughout this whole response."

The former vice president also criticized Trump for having directed governors to acquire critical medical supplies on their own, before relying on the federal government.

“Don’t tell the governors to fend for themselves,” Biden said. “Step up and do your job.”

“He said the federal government is not a shipping clerk. Where the hell did that come from,” Biden said.

Read more at the link. Cannot let Trump off the hook just b ecause he is president during a crisis. Where has Joe been? He has been on the phone working behind the scenes. Now, probably Monday, he will be giving a presidential press conference.

I want him to get more brutal in his speeches. Use swear words like Beto did and we sure won't hold it against him . you have to fight dirty with this monster we are dealing with. Putin is probably in our voting systems as we speak. And where is Bloomberg and his ads? This out break may help Rump and need all the enforcement we can get to get this creep out of office.

...The trump dumbass virus. We need Senator Warren to be put in charge over this, before it's too late, and before we slip into a depression, not after we do. Trump and pence aren't capable, and can't be trusted to tell us the truth. Republicans know this too. Both trump and pence have zero credibility now, and she would be, and the markets would react well if she we're put in charge. Joe and Bernie both should get behind this now too. Her expertise puts her ahead of both of them together, and trump and pence are morons for allowing it getting to this point, and criminal.

Warren is great but her field is financial. She'll come on line soon enough but let her work on what she knows.

On both issues, just look at her proposals and plans , and look at her Medicare for all verses the ACA and the Medicare operational costs are much much lower then what they are for the ACA, she's a lot smarter too . Joe makes too many mistakes .

Her plans were better than Bernie's for sure but M4A sank her candidacy, as I knew it would, because it's a fantasy.

runs parallel to the government's non-efforts, rallying private businesses to make masks and ventilators.

Make it VERY public, do a press conference every day about the progress and the distribution and air the press conference at the same time as Filthy Donnie's lie-fests.

Include things like quotes from business leaders saying, "No. No one from the government has approached us to ask us to do this."

He might as well challenge Trump to climb into the cockpit of a jet airliner and safely fly all the passengers from Point A to Point B. Trump is as qualified to be a safe pilot as he is a safe president.

Obama handed off the controls to Dumbshit Donnie with Air America cruising along reasonably well. We've been on autopilot now for more than 3 years and as long as there was no bad weather ahead or a mechanical failure it kept flying fairly satisfactorily if not great, despite Captain Chaos constantly fiddling with knobs and dials and buttons and levers while having no clue what function they actually served.

Was only a matter of time before we hit some severe turbulence of one sort or another and we just ran into one helluva big bad pocket. Trump just disengaged the autopilot and is now trying to bring this big beast in for an emergency landing. I suggest we all return our seat backs and tray tables to their full upright and locked positions, put our heads between our legs and kiss our asses goodbye before we all crash and burn.

And thank you for flying Trump Airlines!
