Bernie is proving what everyone has always said about him.

He's an ineffective senator who is all talk and bluster. He leaves the hard work to democrats to do alone and then criticizes them. Democratic senators are posting on their twitter that they promise to stay in DC until something gets done to help the people who are really hurting. Bernie is playing footsie with the squad... As if they have power. It's absolutely shameful.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

How ironic that you accuse us of not being team players because we point out that Sanders (I) won't join in and he'll pull.

It would have been 100% better for the media to announce that the Senate bill had "failed to get a majority" than to report that the bill was blocked 47-47.

Your "what's wrong with you guys" should read " what is wrong with you" that you give Sanders a pass every single time he fails to show up and support the team.

You are aware that his current funding is not going to be used for 2020 but will instead be used to run far left candidates to primary Democratic Congressman right?

The overriding concern of Democratic primary voters has been to evict Trump and other Republicans from office. As splinterist showboating by Sanders is perceived to damage our prospects for this, dislike and detestation for Sanders spreads. It spreads all the quicker because he has form, he has done this before, and materially assisted Trump's campaign in 2016, by the ludicrous charges he made, and never retracted, against Secretary Clinton.

He's the best public interest advocate I've ever seen and I think he should drop everything, go to DC and act as a brake on the $Trillion+ giveaway to corporate interests and political megadonors being planned at this very moment by the Trump administration.

I want him there now, what I'm objecting to is the personal, ad-hominem attacks. We're at a pivotal moment in history, let's look at facts stop grinding personal axes.

Of course a slacker in time of crisis is going to come in for harsh words, and he will deserve them, too. A splinterist wrecker during a crisis deserves active opprobrium.

The one thing that might move this pious fraud 'Bernie' is for his well-meaning supporters to turn on him and cry, 'Enough of this farce!' That just might shake the man sufficiently to get him off the pot, and doing the right thing.

Condensed a bit to fit the character limit on our tag-lines. I have made one small change, substituting 'people become uneasy' for 'rites and rituals are not properly performed'. Since improper performance of rites and rituals was held to cause unease among the people, and the original would convey no meaning to most people I felt this substitution justified. Mind, I know only English translations, I cannot make head nor tail of Chinese characters.

This is the key comment on 'the rectification of names', which Confucious said would be his first object were he a ruler. In our local parlance, 'call a spade a spade' conveys the meaning. The benefits are, I think, obvious.

His campaign has been busy spreading false memes, first about Biden's mental health, then when that failed spectacularly, they moved on to the "Where is Biden?" horseshit.

If you're looking for someone to criticize for not unifying the party, start with the campaign of your candidate. The rest of the candidates and their supporters got behind Biden weeks ago and have been targeting Trump and not other Democrats.

Truthful criticisms aren't attacks. Whining about "attacks" that are no such thing is the biggest damned lie berners spew when someone even whispers a hint of disagreeing with him.

It's disingenuous of your dear leader to run away to sulk about the failure of his bullshit revolution while he and his flying monkey minions somehow find plenty of time to bash Democrats--which doesn't mean only politicians but all those who have voted against him, including the women and minorities who are shocked to learn they have somehow become "establishment" Democrats.

And just who are you to demand unity, anyway? I'll believe BS is interested in unity when he concedes in a timely manner. I'll believe a Sanders supporter is interested in unity after all those berners screeching bullshit and hate at Biden as we speak right now knock it off and start showing more support and respect for the candidate the voters chose.

In other words, you can hardly tut-tut about unity from anyone when your candidate and too many of your fellow supporters refuse to do it FIRST. That's how concessions work. You give up something to get something. And the one with the weak (read: LOSING) position is the one who has to do it FIRST. You don't concede when you're in the position of strength (read: WINNING), like Biden is.

Your side is in no position to demand anything, of anyone. As long as you refuse to understand that tantrums and threats are the absolute wrong way to get any concessions, you're going to get backlash and well-deserved criticism.

So clean up the garbage in your own backyard before demanding where the rest of the party puts up patio furniture in theirs.

Most of us at DU thought it was the low point of the Sanders campaign.

You should have a humble opinion of your opinion because it is so specious (superficially plausible but actually wrong). ( adding definitions so you wont have to look them up)

Clearly you use terms that you think sound good but don't really mean what you think they mean.

An "ad hominem" attack is an attack against a person rather than a position they are maintaining.

For example if I attacked you because you were a vegan, a Presbyterian, you were left handed or short in stature that would be an ad hominem attack.

When I looked into your journal and saw your posting on Joe Rogan making light of the reaction against the Sanders slovenly embrace of Rogan I was attacking the position you took.

It is literally the opposite of an ad hominem attack.

What's really not helping party unity is to continue to pursue a campaign that has no possible chance of winning.

But then Sanders (I) has not ever been a Democrat, doesn't like the Democratic Party and regularly undermines Democratic Party Unity.

He is a guest and if he wanted to advance chances for victory in the fall he would do what the other 23 candidates have done and endorsed the presumptive nominee, but he won't because it doesn't serve his personal interests and that's why I attack him, he puts his interests over that of the Party.

I've spoken out against unfair attacks against Joe Biden here on this forum even though he was never my candidate. I just don't like dishonest and personal attacks against any of our candidates. They are corrosive and ultimately hurt all of us.

Right now Sanders is staying in the race to continue talking about vital issues like M4A which is more important now than ever before and I don't see him launching unfair or untrue attacks against Biden. He's earned a place at the table to begin building a unified platform for the convention and into the GE. Why not put personal feelings aside and bury the hatchet in the name of unity? After all you've won. To continue attacks in a personal vein against Sanders and his supporters just seems petty at this point.

His Skype show didn't have any health care workers, doctors or pandemic specialists on. Only three members of the "Squad" who Senator Sanders 'approves' of as not part of the establishment. How f&%ked up is that? How can you have a 'summit' on the corona-virus with just politicians - and newbie politicians at that, none of whom have had to lead their community through a disaster before?

Taken at face value, the only conclusion someone without rose-tinted Bernie2020-glasses can make is that the Senator is missing his rallies so desperately he is trying to recreate them digitally. One small mercy is that he is doing it digitally, instead of in press briefings with crowds of people around him at the lectern, unlike someone else we know.

I don't appreciate this passive-aggressive call for unity to silence critics of your dear leader. Because the ones not doing their share for party unity would be BS and his supporters.

You berners are so politically ignorant that you don't get that you are in a position to demand NOTHING. You don't get to call the shots regarding "unity." Elections have consequences, and the big one is that winners of elections get to make the decisions. They don't have to concede anything. They can do so, if the other side provides a compelling reason to do so, but threats and tantrums don't qualify as compelling. So it is YOUR side that has to give something to get something, or you'll get nothing at all. And thus, far, you refuse to give anything at all.

So you first with the unity, cupcake. Get behind Biden, and tell your dear leader to do do the same. Otherwise, it's rank hypocrisy for your side to demand unity of those who demonstrated the ability to unify more Democrats than your side did.

Labour activists for Corbyn kept whinging about 'Blairites' and the Iraq War, and touting their man's opposition to same. The result was Johnson with an eighty seat Tory majority. No one gives the north end of a southbound rat about who voted for the authorization for use of force some eighteen odd years ago, at least no one outside a small and insular circle of left activists. It will not move a dozen votes in a national election today.

Personally I detest Mr. Biden's successful effort at weakening bankruptcy in the face of credit card companies charging interest at usurious rates, but in the present crisis am willing to pull in behind him regardless, and would be even were there not word he has taken up Professor Warren's program of reform on the subject.

I am a patriot, Sir, and I want a treasonous money-launderer and mentally unbalanced ignoramus put where he can do no further harm to my country.

How do you feel about that, fella?

We have truckers and store employees still working to keep this nation afloat. Yet despite a taxpayer funded salary of $174,000 and a net-worth of $2 million Bernie Sanders can't even bother to show up for work.
