Joe Biden's business allies are pushing Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar as potential VP picks

Joe Biden is in the process of narrowing down his list of potential running mates, and his allies in the business community are weighing in with their favorite choices.

Since Biden announced earlier this month that he plans to pick a woman as his nominee for vice president, leaders of Wall Street, Silicon Valley and other industries have been reaching out to him and his presidential campaign about whom they think should join him on the ticket, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter.

Some of these business leaders involved with the lobbying effort are fundraising for Biden's campaign. They declined to be named in this story because these conversations were deemed private.

Biden said Tuesday that he is looking to cut down his list of potential running mates in order to begin the vetting process, but he would not say whom he is considering.

She appeals to the same demographic as Biden.

And is a Senator in a purple state.

Her husband is bad off and on a ventilator. I think it depends on how that situation turns out.

She is good at the work, an excellent campaigner.

At least for part of the time. A good deal of craftwork (definitely not the band, mind) in historical hobbies, and some serious private writing, which I do not expect anyone outside the household will ever see.

These kind of stories feel as if they are deliberately written to push a narrative that certain groups in the Democratic party may find unappealing. Several paragraphs wasted just to push that lobbyists and Wall Street are having their say for the VP without any details about who these people are. It's impossible to tell how much is just made up.
Harris and Klobuchar are candidates that everyone would expect, the other ones were mentioned here already on DU as possible options. In short, no surprises in that story regarding the VP options.
