in another debate with Biden than he did last time. In that one, he kept reverting to his stump speech, which didn't work well at all in that venue. I doubt he has another way to approach a debate with Biden.

So, it would be a waste of time for him, I believe.

And I appreciate that he has helped move us toward a more progressive agenda. But a lot of voters have spoken already, and their choice is Biden. The likelihood is that any future primaries will also see Biden’s delegate lead increase. I’m sure Bernie supporters are disappointed, as anyone would be when their candidate is not the one chosen to go forward. Just as we were all horribly disappointed and dismayed when Hillary did not become president.

But it’s time to mend rifts and get behind our candidate. Bernie lingering on the sidelines just creates division in the party that we do not need. Bernie supporters can rest assured that they will get far more of their policy goals addressed with Biden as president than they ever would in a second Trump term. Their ideas are welcome, and I hope they’ll be part of the DNC convention (assuming there is one!). But it’s now time to unite, not divide. Defeating Trump has to be our number one priority. So Bernie supporters, are you on board, or do you plan to fight to the bitter end?
