2. Deadline to run for president
Wed Mar 25, 2020, 05:03 PM
Mar 2020

There is no formal deadline to file to run for president of the United States. Instead, candidates must meet a variety of complex, state-specific filing requirements and deadlines to appear on the election ballot.

These regulations, which are set at the state level, are known as ballot access laws. They often include collecting a certain number of signatures or paying a filing fee. A presidential candidate must prepare to meet ballot access requirements well in advance of primaries, caucuses, and the general election if he or she wants to make it to the election ballot.

The first filing deadline for a presidential state primary was November 8, 2019, in Alabama.

Candidates also file with the Federal Election Commission, which has its own reporting requirements regarding campaign finance statements.

This page provides a brief overview of the 2020 filing deadlines and requirements by state for individuals running as a Democratic, Republican, independent, or write-in candidate. For a more detailed overview of ballot access requirements for presidential candidates, including minor party candidates, click here.

want including Governor Cuomo or Hillary Clinton as long as they meet the constitutional requirements. And a few weeks ago it looked like we might have a second ballot but it looks very unlikely now.

He has famously coveted being President, but he didn’t run specifically because Biden decided to run, and he is a long time close friend of the VP. He was one of the first to endorse Biden even before he officially announced his candidacy.

Could a ‘Draft Cuomo’ Movement Be in the Democrats’ Future?

https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/03/could-a-draft-cuomo-movement-be-in-the-democrats-future/

Yeah, I get all my latest news about the Democratic Party from the National Review...them being such diehard liberals and all!

Some Democrats are openly talking up New York governor Andrew Cuomo

Reminds me of Trump..."some people say I'm the greatest President ever!". "Some" always means "nobody".

Yesterday, a Draft Cuomo 2020 account on Twitter announced that “Times have changed & we need Gov. Cuomo to be the nominee.

I smell...Russsssssssssssia!

Lloyd Constantine, who was a senior policy adviser to New York governor Eliot Spitzer from 2007 to 2008, puts it bluntly: “Biden is a melting ice cube.”

This guy "advised" Eliot Spitzer??? What did he do...schedule Spitz's call girls for him?

This National Review hit piece was written by con hack John Fund...climate change denier and promoter of strict Republican ID laws aimed at voter suppression based on bogus voter fraud charges...

https://www.mediamatters.org/john-fund

https://www.rightwingwatch.org/post/at-cpac-climate-change-is-the-greatest-scientific-scandal-in-history/

Haven't seen this dickhead on TV for quite some time but good to see he's still breathing and pumping out the Gopper bullshit as always. Back to reality...

No, Democrats Aren’t Going to Dump Biden and Run Cuomo

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/03/no-democrats-wont-do-a-switcheroo-to-dump-biden-for-cuomo.html

Sorry, Fund...you fascist fuck. Damn, sure seems to be a lot of Pubbies scared to death of our ol' Joe, don't it?
