Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumLetters to the DNC.
I think we need to all come write our own letters to the DNC. Here's mine, I encourage everyone to write.
Bernie sanders' campaign top high profile surrogates and staff are pushing a easily discredited rape allegation against our presumptive nominee, Joe Biden. This allegation is being made by someone who has a long history of admiring and praising Vladimir Putin in her blog. In April of 2019 she accused Joe Biden of smelling her hair and now suddenly just as Bernie is desperate for something to happen to our nominee. the allegation goes to full blown rape. This is a repulsive allegation that no decent campaign would lever against anyone without sound indisputable evidence. This is beyond the pale. I am requesting the DNC to bar Bernie Sanders and his campaign from speaking or attending the convention. Thank you for your consideration.

(8,147 posts)We have no proof that Bernie or his surrogates started this outrageous smear. At the time I wrote,
I thought they were tied in. I still do, but is there any evidence?

They are all tweeting the allegation repeatedly.

(3,990 posts)This is right up his alley. This is the most horrendous thing I have ever read. Hopefully everyone that reads this will understand that this is another Al Franken. We lost one our best senators to a piece of garbage, don't let it happen again.

As far as I was concerned, whatever the DNC did in 2016, which was leaked to the Wiki was needed and appropriate. I think, at the time, many Republicans wished that the RNC had done the same.
And for so many here to say but... he voted with the Democrats. So what? So far we were lucky that Republicans voting in our open primaries did not wreck the nomination process. But if there is a lesson it should two folds:
Only declared Democrats should seek the nomination (even if they just changed before announcing)
Two, if we can: no open primaries. Only Democrats should participate in Democratic primaries and caucuses (and, I suppose, only Republicans in theirs.)
