Democratic voters he needs, especially on national TV, and the populist leader who's strongly reflective of, and draws, those others. Those blabbermouths aren't telling us to get out of their way and promising to smash over us with their "agenda" because they don't have a leader.

This is far from uncommon among Republicans and people from aggressive populist/insurgent groups from anywhere on the political spectrum.

What Gandhi would do about Sanders I don't know, but he'd have his number. India had plenty of wannabe populist leaders Gandhi had to prevail over, and is plagued with rise of their dangerous passions now.

You have to remember that Gandhi was an inspiring charismatic creator of a new nation, a very positive force, while Sanders is a populist leader who's trying to harness the negative passions of Bro types to smash the existing government and get power. If you don't recognize that description, it's because you're drawn by his positive, inspirational face. Gandhi had no destructive face, though; he always strove to bring out the best in people. At base, they are and draw very different people.

I see the anti-Democrats trying to make it all about the nominee as if he isn't representative of the party, spreading disinformation and trying to convince people that unless that nominee is the one inspiring pure leader all is lost. Not working as well as last time. It's not about Joe Biden, it's about the Democratic Party. Whenever I see something starting with "You Joe Biden supporters ... " I think: Nope, this is about the Democratic Party against Trump and you can't make this about one person this time.
