Im getting sick and tired of all of the Harris supporters, Warren supporters, Buttigieg supporters, Bloomberg supporters, Booker supporters, Bennet supporters, Castro supporters, Delaney supporters, Gravel supporters, ORourke supporters, and Klobuchar supporters and the rest posting about how they need special treatment and have to be coddled and cajoled into getting behind our nominee, Joe Biden.
Ive had it with all of them telling us that we cant take their votes for granted, but have to reach out to them, and make every effort to convince them to vote for the chosen Democratic candidate.
These people are really on my last nerve, and I am fed up with oh, wait. Whats that?
None of the supporters of those candidates are doing that?
Well, thats different.
Nevermind.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Hopefully in the next few weeks or months we'll be saying, "Oh, never mind!"
I loved when she talked about "Mr. Richard Feder of Fort Lee, New Jersey" - I lived in that town for three years and related.
PS - (shhhh) we know you're really talking about "one candidate's" supporters.

(2,657 posts)Barack Obama, John Kerry, and Al Gore had clearly gotten enough support to win the nomination, I don't remember any serious effort by supporters of the losing candidates that the Democrats who would become the nominee must assuredly compromise their platforms in order to get all of the Democrats to vote for that candidate. It was only starting with Sanders in 2016 that we started to see this "You must bend to the will of the losing candidate" nonsense.
Repeat after me, "The price of a seat at the table for making the big decisions is *winning*".

(10,467 posts)refuses to try to reach out beyond his existing base. Oddly enough telling people that 'if you don't support MFA then you want poor people to die' just isn't a very persuasive argument.
