In theory, had Biden now been the unofficial nominee after everyone left

would it make sense for him to announce a running mate?

With all the ghoulish posts here about dying soon, it would make sense. No?

(No, not right wing propaganda, the threads still exist here)

At this point, in any case the Party should begin treating Mr. Biden as its nominee, Our Party should begin raising funds for him, and its leading figures should come out to endorse him, and commence openly campaign for him against this cheap thug Trump disfiguring our White House.

"From Bernie’s perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they don’t want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."

"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

Me, too.......Joe Biden will pick the perfect time to announce his running mate. He has already said it would be a woman so what's the beef. Maybe now, during this crisis, is not a good time to announce. We just need to get through this somehow, someway.

2. Nominees may have sudden health issues in themselves or family.

3. Don't let a single nominee take the burden of being in the campaign. Every Democratic politician and voter needs to do what they can.

4. Don't tip your hand to the ReThugs until Joe and the nominee are ready with ammo against ReThugs, Russian trolls and "independents."
