Biden's Money Problems Just Got Worse

Daily Beast: “The Democratic Party’s decision to postpone this summer’s presidential nominating convention over concerns about the longevity of the coronavirus outbreak has put a pot of money a bit further out of reach for the presumptive Democratic nominee. That’s because instead of getting access to funds for the general election on the initial convention date—July 16—Biden must wait until mid-August, when the convention now is planned to go forward in Milwaukee.”

Remember, he's not spending much of anything right now, and others can still raise money for his campaign. Plus he can continue to raise money for his "primary" campaign and then transfer it into his general election campaign.

6. So just have the delegates vote in July and make the nomination official.

Then hold the convention whenever.

The actual voting will be a formality, and it's not like people watch that anyway. Really, the only thing people watch are the speeches -- and even then, only the few that are in primetime.

Lately, Biden has not had to pay for campaign rallies. He has not had to fly his staff everywhere. He has not had to pay for a big ground game with lots of workers walking and knocking on doors. Nor is he paying for yard signs, tee shirts, bumper stickers, beer cozies, campaign buttons, or a big staff at headquarters. Biden is making videos of himself that are running on places like youtube, which means that they are running for free. Yet, money is still rolling in for him.

I am not worried at all.

but hopefully Joe will have as much success against him while being heavily outspent as he did putting Sanders away.

If Joe has to spend $1000 per voter to convince them that what we have in the White House is a dangerous existential threat to our health and our democracy then something is seriously wrong with this nation that no amount of campaign contributions will be able to fix.

I am putting my faith and my trust into the belief that there are more good Americans than evil ones...guess we'll know exactly 7 months from today whether that faith and trust was justified or I am just a naive fool.

now that the Olympics aren't sucking much of the air out of August, and so it happened. He is our next president and even sooner-to-be party leader, after all.

And rushed in, this trashy spin: Biden in trouble!

Well not to worry, or not to get hopes up. Whichever.
