DNC has nothing to do with it. In most states, the ballots still include multiple candidates who have dropped out. Voters know what to do about that, generally.

If they do that, whoever might want to run as a Dem could run as an independent. Imagine the harm Bernie could do if he were to run in November. All his fans would vote for him, and Trump would win easily.

It's galling to have to put up with this, but a third party or independent candidate could do much worse.

It simply will not be tolerated. Shortly, the name of this forum will change, and the owners of this forum will accept Joe Biden as the presumptive nominee. Such statements about the nominee will not be permitted without consequences.

What happens elsewhere, of course, cannot be controlled. The voters, however, will understand who the nominee will be, and will act accordingly, I believe. This election season belongs to Joe Biden and Donald Trump from now on.

A few might, just as a few are still voting for other candidates who have withdrawn. Bernie Sanders will have difficulty reaching the 15% threshold in most states and will thus win no delegates or only a few in some districts.

Voters know who is still running and most will not waste their votes on those who are not.

When primary voting resumes, and it will, you'll see.

Wisconsin had a whole slew of former candidates still on the ballot.

I think 2 or 3 candidates dropped out during the week just before the primary. I was hoping most Democrats were aware, but who knows.

The DNC does not control what happens in state primaries. I've been saying that for a long time when people kept saying the DNC was manipulating the primaries. Anyone that has any knowledge of elections would know that is not true.

The DNC does not determine how a candidate gets on the ballot.
Each state have their own requirements. Petitions and/or filing fees.

The DNC does not determine the deadline candidates must file by.
The states do.

The DNC does not decide when or where primaries are held.
The states and local government does.

The DNC does not assign election workers to conduct elections.
The county election boards and in some cases city government does.

The DNC does not determine the rules and requirements in running elections.
The state election division or equivalent does.

As for removal of a candidate from the ballot. The DNC does not have that power.
Removal from the ballot at the state level is determine by state code and I do not believe there is a law in any state that provides for automatic removal from the ballot when a candidate suspends their campaign for a primary. It would be different if it was for the general election. For a candidate to be removed from a primary ballot would in most cases require someone filing an appeal due to a candidate not meeting specific requirements.

Biden doesn't need Sanders' delegates to win the nomination.

He’s not getting any concessions this time.

He brought nothing new with this campaign. No expanded coalition. None of his supposed youth vote. In fact he brought in no new numbers for ANY demographic. Unlike Biden who is getting blacks in better numbers than HRC, and is bringing in more suburban women in droves.

When you don’t bring anything new beyond more spiteful divisiveness and contempt for Democratic voters compared to 2016, you don’t get any new concessions.

As dearly as I wanted to vote for her, I didn't waste my vote by throwing it away. I wanted Bernie Sanders in the rear-view mirror, so I voted for Biden.

I turned 18 on March 21. I have been waiting to cast my first primary ballot and now it's moot because I live in Pennsylvania and we have our nominee. Senator Bernie Sanders has shown himself to be selfish, and it's my generation that he's supposed to be courting. I support the Democrat in this race. He is our nominee.

But calling him what he is.

And selfish fits the bill, like it or not.

We get to call him what we believe him to be, and telling us we don’t know reality when we see it is as presumptuous as it is rude.

There should be others running for other positions that you can vote on. Every election is important at every level. You might help someone get elected to a city or county level that rises to state level and maybe become president.

He has brought NOTHING to the party that wasn’t already there. They gave him some procedural stuff to shut him up last time, but procedure isn’t policy. What the party stands for has not changed in a very long time.

Bernie contributed content to the platform.

To clarify my question.. What will Sanders do if he doesnt get what he wants? Biden has already indicated he will include Sanders in his "journey" and wants to incorporate some of his ideas in his platform. So what if Sanders wants more than Biden is willing to give? What will he do?

I fear he might withhold his endorsement and start throwing insults which would likely get his supporters all pissed off again like in 2016.

We simply cannot afford that again.

Bernie didn't get everything he wanted in the 2016 party platform, and he accepted that.

So we can stop worrying about what he'll do and see what he does going forward.

Now's the time to unite behind the party nominee.

See Sanders the way Biden does, and you'll not be worried about Bernie.

This not some campus clique of Marxists, not some five hundred strong convention' of the Socialist Workers Party. In those sorts of things, platforms and manifestos do matter, because they show who is in and who is out within the group.

The platform of a major national party is today a meaningless document. It neither directs nor binds actions during a campaign, or when in office.

The man betrays an unerring instinct for the capillary in taking planks of the platform as he chief object at any stage of a political campaign.
