Democratic Primaries

On Facebook, "friends" of friends are frantically accusing Joe of being a rapist. There's no fucking proof. I'm arguing with them and they keep coming back with bullshit but I swear they're fucking bots. When I demand proof, they say "Oh, a woman doesn't have to give proof because she's traumatized..."
Now don't get me wrong. I normally agree, but these seem like Bots to me.

(3,850 posts)This accusation is seen as baseless by those that have bothered to vet the accuser's story. Her being an active Putin fan was all I needed to know to write her off. Most Dems expected a dirty trick or 2 and are not surprised.

(18,874 posts)This isn't all Bernie supporters, and I'd be surprised if there were more than a minority of Bernie supporters behind the smears. They are going after Joe and Jill Biden en force on Twitter, Reddit, etc. Trump is terrified and so are the dictators and oligarchs like Putin, Xi, MBS and the Kochs along with Trumps billionaire beneficiaries. This is going to continue because if Biden wins, they are all fucked.

Lets see: Ivana Trump, E Jean Carroll, an anonymous (for her protection) 13 year old at a Jeffrey Epstein party plus 20+ other women who have accused him of molesting them.
Does this person support Trump? If so how do they excuse his behavior?
If this person is a Democrat does he think this justifies not voting for Biden resulting in Trumps re-election?

(96,043 posts)Need to learn how to make the following statement in response to charges of this sort, from whatever quarter:
"Fuck you! Nobody fucking cares! God knows I don't! Stuff it up your fucking pie-hole and shut the fuck up! I do not fucking care! I don't fucking care what you say! I don't give a rancid shit what you think! Go ahead, motherfucker! Do it! Or back your ass back down in your seat and change your damn diaper! Asshole..."
That is how the game is played now, and we had better learn it, quick and well.
"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

(58,785 posts)Expected, like bullets on a battlefield.
Kick purveyors and sponge-heads to the side when they show up, but don't sweat it. The attempts to brand Biden as a child molester and sexual predator failed to spread significantly into the broad range of the electorate who would conceivably vote for Biden, including moderate conservatives.
That's the big advantage of nominating someone the nation likes and feels we know. Biden is armored.

(1,568 posts)She said something about Biden being a rapist. I admit I haven't really been following things as much as I would like these past few weeks, so I asked for some details as to what is being claimed and what sort of evidence has been presented. She immediately got defensive and called me a rape apologist. At this point I wasn't defending anyone, but rather just asking for information. The conversation stopped a little later when I asked if it was possible for Biden to not be guilty and if that is the case, then what steps would he have to take to prove he was innocent.
It seems like people change their thoughts on how these difficult situations should be dealt with depending on if the accused is someone they support or don't support. I don't pretend to know the answer to how to deal with this, but it's really obvious to me when the primary motivation is political rather than an attempt to seek justice. That's whether it's flat out denying all accusations or accepting them without question just because it fits certain political narrative.
I am not a huge fan of Biden's either. In fact, Biden is one of the last choices I had. I would have rather seen Mayor Pete or Warren or Booker or Harris up there. This isn't a fan boi knee-jerk defense of "my guy"... I mean, he is my guy now. I mean, you know, since he isn't Trump. Anyway.
