Elizabeth Warren has moved her presidential campaign operation to Charlestown, settling into a largely residential neighborhood steeped in Revolutionary War history and more recently made famous by Ben Affleck.
Warrens team declined to provide an exact address for their new digs, but theres not a lot of office space in the neighborhood. About 60 people moved into the new headquarters earlier this month, the spokeswoman said.
Prior to that, staff had been working out of space in the Boston Teachers Unions Dorchester office, which Warrens campaign was renting by the day since she jumped into the race earlier this year.
For a national audience, Charlestown may offer the Cambridge Democrat a sort of Boston blue-collar authenticity, thanks to its working-class roots and to the 2010 movie The Town, in which Affleck plays a bank robber who falls in love with a hostage from a heist.
