How Vance's bizarre family policies seem rooted in his childhood trauma - Alex Wagner - MSNBC

Alex Wagner looks at some of the bizarre details of JD Vance's views on families, the role of women, and the requirements of marriage, and talks with Jessica Winter, contributing editor at the New Yorker, and Sam Stein, managing editor at The Bulwark, about where he got these ideas and what they would mean for America if he and Donald Trump win in 2024. - Aired on 07/25/2024.

1. Can't wait for the hypocrisy to show up if we find out what he was doing on his weekends during his time in the USMC.

I know what I was doing on certain weekends during my enlistment in the USMC, and it sure as hell wasn't family friendly.

Fun fact, I was deployed to Iraq around the same time, at the same base, and under the same aviation combat element command structure as J.D. "No Integrity" Vance. But that's where my similarities end with that fucker. Oh, also I served more years and outranked him at one point. Never met him since I was doing vital work.

And now that we're learning all about Kamala Harris's history, her background in both the law and government, working for the people, there is no comparison. And what you described of your background, it sounds like you're more qualified than Vance. '

It makes Village People film look oscar-worthy by comparison. Whose grandmother watches any of the Terminator movies?!?! My grandmothers preferred whatever old movies were on TCM (or the prior American Movie Classics), had hobbies, and the one on my father's side liked to read Harlequin romance novels while drinking orange screwdrivers.
