Usually military officers, especially generals, don't talk like this.

And they don't get involved in politics.

They do not want to be in a position where they disobey a direct order from
the CIC and face court marital.

Their oath is to protect American citizens and the country.

They are trying to save their own necks.

Which is fine, in the process they save ours as well.

Retired officers have spoken out before. I've never known active duty ones to speak on politics.

But US retired military generals typically do not line up against an ex US president who was
their CIC. It usually is not done.

They don't usually en masse like this announce support for a candidate.
