Higher voter turnout or just more people switching to alternatives to voting on Election Day?

when the voting station at my library opens.

I'm not one for standing in long lines, if I can avoid it.

I waited in line for an hour and 20 minutes. I never will again because when I vote on Election Day, I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes.

Did you ever vote when voting was Election Day, Election Day only, and you had better have applied well ahead of time for an absentee ballot.

I was a ticket agent at DCA (National Airport) for ten years, starting in 1969. Back then, with one day and one day of voting only, our pattern of passengers was vastly different from every other week of the year. Businessmen who normally spent the week out of their town either delayed that trip until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning, or flew back to their home city specifically to vote.

Georgia elected Joe Biden and 2 Dem US senators after decades of being a red state. So it's a positive sign if voters are enthusiastic.

Early voting here in Virginia has started and I plan to go vote early this weekend.
