'Why aren't people more alarmed?': As Trump becomes more extreme, Americans get used to it - Ali Velshi - MSNBC

Donald Trump's campaign rhetoric has become so extreme that analysts and historians are openly comparing him to Hitler and Mussolini. And yet the American public seems to treat him with the same semi-seriousness that has characterized his entire political career.

Ruth Ben-Ghiat, New York University history professor, and Jason Stanley, Yale University philosophy professor, discuss with Ali Velshi. - Aired on 10/18/2024.

"middle", the disengaged and the apathetic, are so used to the Overton Window constantly shifting away from the left and to the reich that they won't be roused from their stupor until own personal supply of hamberders and sportsball is cut off. But since we're still dealing with the terrible Republican damages that helped elect Joe Biden, I'm counting on this "shift" skipping numerous terms as long as he remains the top story in the news. And considering the number of trials he's still facing, this will likely last at least for the rest of his life.
