(24,375 posts)Somebody has threatened the owners of both newspapers with retaliation or with some kind of personal exposure if they endorse Harris.
Initially I thought that they were engaging in anticipatory obedience, aka, protecting themselves in case Trump wins. But the timing, which involves both papers, makes me believe that they received credible threats.
