That's not despair, that's reality.

Our side always talks tough about fighting when we have no power. But when we get it, we sure don't fight nearly as hard.

When they win the House, the FDR era is over. They are literally going to drown government in a bathtub like they've been promising forever. And even if that generates outrage so what? So they lose the House in 26 worst case for them? Most of government will be dismantled by then. And no bills stopping it will pass.

Quite simply, if they want to torch every federal program, they can. All they need is the will, and it seems pretty clear to me they have that.
