Velshi Banned Book Club: Jodi Picoult urges readers to be louder than book banners - Velshi - MSNBC

According to PEN America, there were 10,046 instances of book bans or challenges last school year. Jodi Picoult’s “Nineteen Minutes” was the most banned book in America last school year. “Nineteen Minutes” follows the events before and after a deadly school shooting rocks a small New Hampshire town.

Picoult is not only working to save her own books from censorship, she’s fighting against book banning across the country. She joins Ali Velshi with a roadmap for the rest of us to join the fight. - Aired on 11/16/2024.
