My grandmother and the closest I had to a grandfather, both of whom were world travelers. He was a lifelong Democrat and won my "party of Lincoln" (like her father) grandmother over to vote for Clinton twice. I know that especially he would be stunned and heartbroken.

I'm loving her new daily schedule, even if it is only for the first 100 days of the Trump administration. I love how she weaves history with current events, as she shows there is nothing new under the sun when it comes to authoritarian moves by Republicans. I didn't know Nixon had pulled the same agency shutdown attempt Trump is doing, albeit Nixon only tried it at one agency (Office of Economic Opportunity).

And I didn't know that about Nixon, either - that he attempted to undermine LBJ's agency to help the people! Do Republicans ever start projects to help the people?? Isn't that a president's main job??
