Students surviving multiple school shootings is the reality of where U.S. is now, says Rep. Frost - The Last Word MS NOW

Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) joins MS NOW’s Ali Velshi to discuss how he knows two Brown University students who survived their second school shooting the same weekend as the 13th anniversary of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary. I'm sorry - but that is still vastly overstated stopdiggin Dec 16 #1

The vast, vast majority of students are going to go completely through their educational journey - without experiencing any such thing. Some relative few (a tiny, tiny minority) have unfortunately had this mind-bending experience. And that is bad enough. There is no reason (nor justification) for conflating this as anything like - 'this is our society today' It amounts to fear mongering ...

(and I know this is not exactly what this person said - but the implication is most certainly there. )

My cousin has a daughter who has been traumatized by the school shooting drills. They live in Colorado and my cousin's best friend got a deal on a house because it's across the street from Columbine.

I also do not think we help we help the situation (or the students either) by hyping the likelihood ... (in relation to actual numbers and facts)
Also aware - that there are probably plenty that disagree with me on that. So be it. Inculcating an (over-hyped) fear - in any population, student or otherwise - does not serve a useful end.
