Psaki: Donald Trump is ADDICTED to power; planning, not so much - The Briefing w/Jen Psaki - MS NOW

Jen Psaki proposes that Donald Trump is motivated by a the rush of making himself feel powerful, which explains why so many of his actions don't appear to have rational, principled justifications, and also why so many of his actions have no follow-up plan for dealing with the messes he makes. - Aired on 01/06/2026.

And addiction to using that power to threaten others who disagreed and/or opposed him. I think he enjoyed making others feel afraid of him and what he'd do.

I try to keep up with the news, but part of me finds what's going to be just surreal. And I can't help wondering what my parents and grandparents would think. I always thought I was so fortunate to be born here, but now we're the world's pariah. And you have to know that you're not alone, especially here on DU.
