that he f'd little girls for years and paid Epstein bribe money to keep the videos secret?

Epstein wasn't a stupid idiot. He structured the payments as fees for doing " money management " and probably paid taxes on the transactions. Wexler is going to say "I hired Epstein to manage some of my money, I had no idea about his abuse of underage teens"

For anything in writing, even in email, I'm sure they had a private code worked out... "I found a new opportunity for you to invest in, it is a very young company with no previous investors... perfect for your injection on capital... might even be some back end opportunities for further injections. Better act now because this one won't last much longer"

Then why are they fighting so hard to keep this away from Congress and the public?

Ever been in court? Courts do not tolerate silly defenses like you describe.

This is going to a Congressional Hearing.

Why are they fighting so hard... because if enough stuff came out ( like the Epstein birthday card from Trump ) everyone with "know" that it really happened and some very powerful people will have to "withdraw from public life" ( Prince Andrew, Larry Summers, etc ). They won't be charged, most of the crimes took place over a decade ago... witnesses will be intimidated from testifying in court, etc.

My post states that it is a Congressional hearing.

Furthermore, telling a goofy story like you describe is not going to get Wexler off. There are a vast number of ways to corroborate such a laughably naive defense. Do you think these people fell off a turnip truck?

Re court, I think you should do a little Googling on the statute of limitations in the various states. Courts are not out of the question by any means. Some offenses have no statute.
