Epstein Money Trail IGNORED as DOJ Failed Basic Investigation?!?! - Legal AF
Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian discuss five Democratic senators demanding answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel about why the DOJ and FBI never interviewed Jeffrey Epstein's longtime in-house attorney Darren Indyke or accountant Richard Kahn—two men who controlled Epstein's finances and reportedly each received over $10 million while working for him.
The hosts explain the crime-fraud exception to attorney-client privilege, which applies when a client uses legal services to further criminal conduct. If Epstein enlisted Indyke's help to cover up past sex trafficking, those communications wouldn't be protected. The letter from Senators Ron Wyden, Amy Klobuchar, Sheldon Whitehouse, Richard Blumenthal, and Chris Van Hollen raises concerns that the DOJ declined to investigate these key members of Epstein's inner circle "out of fear of retaliation by Epstein's estate," as Indyke and Kahn now serve as estate executors controlling documents that may contain compromising information on Trump and other powerful figures.
