Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) - 9/6/24

Last edited Sat Sep 7, 2024, 07:47 AM - Edit history (1)

I apologize that there are so few "official" videos available, this practice by HBO appears to have started a few weeks ago. If any are uploaded in the meantime, I'll definitely add them. But I wanted to share what's available before the "bootleg" videos are gone.

Monologue: Weird Is Working

Bill reacts to Donald Trump's obsession with being called "weird."

New Rule: Liberal in Theory

Donald Trump is stained with "the ick," but liberals who scold and shame those who don't share their worldview risk being tainted by it, too.

Overtime: H.R. McMaster, John Avlon, Rich Lowry

Bill and his guests continue their conversation after the show.

Here's a "bootleg" version of the show which includes the entire interview with H.R. McMaster, retired lieutenant general, former White House National Security Advisor under former President Trump, and author of At War with Ourselves: My Tour of Duty in the Trump White House; entire panel discussion with Rich Lowry, editor-in-chief of National Review and author of The Case for Nationalism: How It Made Us Powerful, United, and Free; and John Avlon, author and former CNN anchor who is now running for Congress in New York’s first district; Bill's "Funny Bit"; and the opening part of New Rules. It won't last long, as usual:

Lowry and McMasters.

Good vibes to Avlon. Looks like a tough race. Hopefully there's opportunity to coat tail on the Harris/Walz ticket.

I'm glad Maher spoke out against the Hines shaming/canceling. I agree with him 100%.

Thanks for posting, Rhiannon12866

But Avlon's good humor certainly helped, though he did get into it with Lowry - to the point that Bill had to break them up. What did he expect?? And I agree that he was right about Cheryl Hines - though couldn't help thinking that both RFK Jr. and TFG both have three marriages in common.
