When Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman buckled himself into a Bentley SUV with Qatar's emir at the wheel, it was a moment of camaraderie that followed years of prickly relations - and a chance for his host to show off Doha's gleaming new buildings.

Prince Mohammed's visit to the tiny neighbouring Gulf state in 2021 not only helped bury a bitter political grudge that had rumbled on for three years, it also ignited a rise in Qatar-Saudi business ties that has gathered pace ever since.

The size of Saudi contracts won by Qatari contractors since the boycott has not been previously reported and shows Qatar firms are closely involved in completing Saudi so-called giga projects, big ventures that are central to ambitious 2030 targets to diversify the Saudi economy away from oil.

The alliance is in stark contrast to a rift that started in 2017 when Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Egypt choked off Qatar's economy with a boycott, accusing it of backing terrorists. Qatar denied the charges and the rift was ended in a series of conciliatory moves in 2021.

So while convicted felon's son in law and Netanyahu's long time family friend is acting as *rump's "shadow diplomat" in charge of Middle East peace, the gulf states turn on Qatar for harboring Hamas; which Netanyahu had empowered, enabled and financed to rule over Gaza.

Now members of Netanyahu's government wants to take over and settle in devastated Gaza and Kushner has stated that Gaza could be good investment property. I suspect he's saving the majority of the funds; which hasn't been invested yet that journalist hating MBS gave him for that day.

I'm just wondering if non-security clearance holding Kushner's shadow diplomacy when even *rump's State Department didn't know what he was doing over there led to or encouraged Hamas to attack Israel on October 7th via his back channels through Qatar to give Netanyahu an excuse to invade and take over Gaza?

This would damage President Biden, and the Democratic Party in general and as Netanyahu was facing corruption charges of his own once he was out of office, another *rump Presidency with the end of democracy in the U.S. would enable his staying in power permanently as well.
