Sorry; "Organic Ice Cream" won't make you healthy. Nor "Organic Pepsi".
the real problem is the sugar and carbohydrate load in the processed diet.

(7,923 posts)almost everything we buy besides raw fruits and veggies and those have pesticides unless they are organic. Is he going to come up with trillions of dollars for us all to afford only organic?

Plenty of natural organic fresh manure gets a poo poo BECAUSE its contain pathogens from the animals. Unless you can process (treat) great quantities. Plus only some manure is acceptable .
Growing up we had really old manure piles that were unused eventually they were all tilled into the soil. It was broken down naturally. I used to mix lime with mucked out horse stall manure. It dried and broke it down fast. My brother and I got a $100 for a pickup load of crap we got for free.

(2,799 posts)Those folks have to take insulin, because they've been born with a body that doesn't produce any.
Organic food is simply food that is grown without pesticides or herbicides. That won't have any effect on people whose bodies don't make insulin.
I'm all for switching to organic agriculture, and regenerative agriculture wherever possible, but that's not going to affect diabetes.
Some people are lucky enough to control their diabetes through diet alone, if the disease is caught in its early stages, but organic food is not required. Eating whole foods, that are less processed, and cutting out excess sugars and starches, eating more protein, etc.
I love organic food, but RFK Jr. is such a nutball that his stupid ideas are going to do a lot more damage than good. I think he will set back the movement for cleaner food by promoting idiotic policies.
