Toyota already has a hydrogen fuel car, the Mirai. Toyota started selling them in 2014. Nobody wants them. It has gotten so bad Toyota is practically giving them away. Why? Because even if you can find a Hydrogen fueling station near you, the fuel is so expensive it costs the average driver about $1200/mo to fuel their Mirai. And resale value is abysmal. The only loose detail in the second half was the mention of BMW as another hydrogen car developer.

If able the US car industry should get busy. With our uncertain future in automotive sales and production, I wouldn't hold my breath.
