Toyota already has a hydrogen fuel car, the Mirai. Toyota started selling them in 2014. Nobody wants them. It has gotten so bad Toyota is practically giving them away. Why? Because even if you can find a Hydrogen fueling station near you, the fuel is so expensive it costs the average driver about $1200/mo to fuel their Mirai. And resale value is abysmal. This video explains the problems:

Hydrogen fuel cars is a concept whose time has come and gone.

watching at 1.5 and you will learn everything you need to know during the first half of the video.

The only loose detail in the second half was the mention of BMW as another hydrogen car developer.

The AI voice over is exceedingly annoying, too.

If able the US car industry should get busy. With our uncertain future in automotive sales and production, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Good on Toyota. All the best to them, their scientists, engineers, manufacturers and all of the supporting individuals in the industry.

RESIST!!

I was wondering when there would be a viable hydrogen combustion motor. Good on them. Let's see how long the cooling system lasts.
