The Vote For Hegseth Is Fast Approaching

What Democrats need to do:

A terrifying signed affidavit was released yesterday by Hegseth's former SIL. This affidavit makes accusations against him legal, not anonymous. This man is a monster, a wife beater. His wife had to hide in a closet. His wife had to use code words to text her sister she was afraid for her life and needed help.

Now, Senate Democrats need to attack Trump for appointing this monster, and need to attack Senate Magats for supporting this monster. Make Republicans own this monster.

Democrats need to raise the roof over these new allegations.

Finally, Senate Democrats need to investigate why the FBI is covering up for a monster, why they deliberately did not release the dirt on Hegseth. Call in the FBI people who did this cover up.

The people who did release this new information are already getting death threats.

This topic became news last night but it needs to stay on the front page until the MSM is forced to cover this.

Democrats lose because when they have an issue, when they have a mountain to die on, they pussy foot. We need fighters.

Democrats were already voting against him and there ain’t enough “there” there to convince four republicans to change course.

The former wife of his brother isn’t going to pull much weight when the actual victim denies that it ever happened.

Maybe the actual victim had an NDA.

This is why Democrats lose, perfect example.

Hiding in a freaking closet, code words to ask for help but Al Franken pretends to fondle his friends boobs and he has to resign.

It is clear to me what's wrong with Democrats.

Why did the FBI not release this information?

We just let them get away with it when we say "not enough there" really?

Same ole same ole, no wonder Democrats stay home. Could have given AOC a position of leadership but she is too much of a trouble maker, she fights too hard.

Sorry but if Senate Democrats don't make a big deal out of this latest information they better stop sending me texts asking for money. I will give to the ACLU, they are fighters.

3. Why would she need to?

She isn’t just remaining silent (required by most NDAs) she’s publicly saying (and to the FBI) that it didn’t happen. The ex wife of the brother of the alleged abuser who lived in another state a decade ago doesn’t trump that by making the hearsay in an affidavit.

There could easily be a couple republican senators who would change their vites if the victim came forward… but they aren’t going to move when someone else claims the victim is lying.

Betting odds look like 90-95% chance that he gets zero democrats

Having said that - kicking people out of the party likely hurts the party more than it does the senator.

Let’s say that it’s Fetterman. He isn’t up for reelection until 2028. Better a faulty Democrat than a real Republican

No sense in turning him into one by giving him four years to please his new voting base.

Again “kicking him out of the party” doesn’t do anything to him. Cost him a committee seat? Republicans are happy to give him one in the majority.

Unfortunately, the strategy of focusing on misogyny and sexual assault did nothing to prevent Kavanaugh's rise (and ruined a woman's life.) We know Pete's disgusting and violent, but the Republican party elected a rapist and they simply do not care one bit about his character. (I imagine they think he's great and a real tough guy. )

You're not going to get 4 R votes by pointing out Hegseth hates women because they hate women, too. Sad, but true. For that reason, Dems should be hammering home that Pete is completely unqualified for this position and that he will cause harm to our military personnel, as well as our military's reputation. If Dems make his military incompetence their main focus, Rs may think twice about aligning with that potential shitshow.

The GOP will continue to lick Trump's boots until something happens to persuade them that their careers/livelihoods are better served by breaking with him.

His former SIL said it did. The ex-wife needs to say otherwise (if it's true) by tomorrow night
