Go to discussionStephen Miller's "Iron Law"
(Charlie Sykes) In his interview with CNN, Trumps malign homunculus made it clear that there is no velvet glove on this fist. The world, Stephen Miller insists, must be governed by raw force. "We live in a world in which you can talk all you want about international niceties and everything else, but we live in a world, in the real world, Jake, that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power, Miller told Jake Tapper of CNN. These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time. If that sounds familiar it is. It is the ancient worldview that might makes right. The law of the jungle. Eat or be eaten. It is the credo of tyrants, conquerors, thugs, and bullies throughout history.

Writing on Truth Social on Friday morning, Trump said the release of Venezuelan political prisoners was a "very important and smart gesture." "The U.S.A. and Venezuela are working well together, especially as it pertains to rebuilding, in a much bigger, better, and more modern form, their oil and gas infrastructure," Trump said. It comes after at least 24 Venezuelan security officers were killed last week in a U.S. military raid.
