Wrestling legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has died at the age of 61... TMZ Sports has learned.

Piper -- born Roderick George Toombs -- died from cardiac arrest in his sleep at his home in Hollywood at around noon Friday.

Piper was a wrestling icon -- one of the biggest stars in the WWE back in the '80s, and even wrestled in "Wrestlemania I" back in 1985 ... squaring off against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T.

Roddy's rep tells us, "I am devastated at this news."

Holy CRAP...Leon Russell will be fronting MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN on 9/11 to salute Joe Cocker.

Anyone who doesn't believe in "marital rape" can tell it to my girlfriend.

Well, they could, but people who know me know that she was killed in a rollover accident almost one year ago, on 8/15/14.

But the Donald / Ivana trump story made me think of her, especially when it came to the Donald's attorney denying that "marital rape" even exists. I posted his comments on DU, you can search for them if you'd like...I'm not going to repost them here, and no, I don't have the link handy. It's easy enough to find if you think you need to see it.

My girlfriend...who I miss every day of my life without fail...was married to a big guy, just under 300 pounds, with drug and alcohol issues as well as abuse issues. It's hard to tell if the things he said to her were worse than the things he did to her, and that included slamming her up against the wall on multiple occasions. This guy scarred her for life, I loved her unconditionally but it was never enough to make the scars go away. And the worst part of all, like many abuse victims, is that she held on to part of the blame for the things he did to her.

What she told me...and I have no reason to doubt her...is that on the night her twins were conceived, he held her down and had forced intercourse with her. Nine months later, twin daughters.

So for the people in the world who think that a piece of paper and a ring entitles you to do what you want, when you want, to the person you are supposed to "love honor, and cherish," this post isn't going to convince them, and I have no interest in attempting to do so anyway.

My girlfriend's daughters were everything to her, she as a fierce mama lion. They are 14 years old now and have turned out to be two of the finest, most polite, most gifted young ladies you'd ever want to meet. My girlfriend did the right thing, even though the circumstances that brought her daughters into the world were brutal, cruel, and unconscionable.

"Marital rape" is real. Like it or not.

Walter James Palmer, a dentist from Minnesota, is believed to have paid £35,000 to shoot and kill the much-loved lion with a bow and arrow. The animal was shot on July 1 in Hwange National Park. Two independent sources have confirmed the hunter's identity to the paper, which has also seen a copy of the relevant hunting permit.

Conservation groups in Zimbabwe reacted angrily to the news that the 13-year-old animal had been killed: partly because the lion was known to visitors and seemingly enjoyed human contact, and partly because of the way in which he was killed. He was lured out of the national park and shot.

During the hunt – which the organisers later admitted was badly carried out – it was alleged that Cecil was lured at night about half a mile out of the national park using bait, and then shot with a bow and arrow. The next day he was found wounded by the hunters and killed, before being beheaded and skinned.

Animals cannot be killed within the confines of the park. The hunters then removed his collar – further contravening park rules.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is "sure" that Sandra Bland "could have" because "someone has." Err...HUH???

On Monday’s edition of “Fox & Friends,” Elisabeth Hasselbeck speculated that an “irritated” Sandra Bland could have “attacked” Officer Brian Encinia with her cigarette, because the co-host is “sure someone has, in the history of this land, used a cigarette against a police officer.”

Putting aside the fact that “the history of this land” contains a nearly infinite number of otherwise innocent objects that could, in a pinch, be used by someone, somewhere as a weapon. At this very moment, I have access to pens, a lamp, a cup of rapidly cooling green tea, not to mention the very keyboard on which I type these words — any one of which could conceivably be used to attack another human being.

Just because I could toss a cup of lukewarm green tea at any police officer who walks into my office doesn’t mean that, should a police officer actually enter my office, he or she should feel immediately threatened by my Bigelow. There’s no logic to that logic — it’s effectively a license to live in perpetual fear of everyday objects, and Hasselback wants to grant it to law enforcement.

But Hasselbeck continued, albeit oddly, stopping and starting almost as if her brain didn’t want allow her mouth to eject the words it’d ordered her to say. “What if, I mean, there are times, I’m sure, someone has, in the history of this land, used a cigarette against a police officer,” Hasselbeck said. “Maybe chucked it at him — pushed it at him?”
