Trump Doubles Down After Elon’s Shocking “Tank the Economy” Confession--Donald Trump seems to have no concerns about Elon’s Musk’s recent admission
Just hours after Elon Musk admitted Donald Trump’s policies will tank the entire economy, the former president confirmed his plans to let Musk be a part of the destruction, claiming that “nobody is going to feel it.”
In an interview with Sean Hannity on Tuesday night, Trump lauded Musk as a “very exceptional guy” and a “great cost-cutter” when asked about a potential role for the billionaire CEO in his Cabinet. But even more unbelievably, the Republican candidate said with confidence that the American people wouldn’t “feel” the economic impacts of cutting trillions from the budget.
“He’ll cut costs without anybody even knowing it—nobody’s going to notice—nobody is going to feel it,” Trump told Hannity, confirming that Musk does indeed plan to slash $2 trillion from the government’s budget.
Musk has proposed heading a “Department of Government Efficiency” under a Trump Cabinet—and the former president has clearly taken him up on it. At Trump’s hate-filled Madison Square Garden rally over the weekend, Musk announced that the target is $2 trillion in cuts.
Trimming the budget to the level would have to include cuts to essential government services like Medicare and Social Security—and could result in an initial huge economic crash. But Musk admitted Tuesday that that’s all a part of the plan, agreeing with a far-right troll on X that crashing the economy would lead to “sounder footing” in two years.
The plan sounds strikingly similar to that of Musk and Trump’s friend Javier Milei of Argentina. When campaigning for president, Milei promised to “take a chainsaw to the state,” cut public spending on education and health care, and eliminate the central bank and tens of thousands of government jobs. Since his election last year, Argentina has suffered a deep recession and the worst economic downturn in the country in decades, with 57 percent of the population now in poverty and inflation up 270 percent.
As journalist Kevin Drum noted, “Elon is claiming we should literally zero out the entire rest of the federal budget. Everything. The FBI, national parks, food stamps, Medicaid, education, NASA, the EPA, farm support, the NIH, all federal R&D grants, embassies worldwide, the FAA, the Department of Justice, the VA, the weather service, the border patrol, etc. etc. Everything.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s other horrible economic plans would simultaneously dramatically hike inflation and slow U.S. production and economic growth. But perhaps it shouldn’t be a surprise that two bumbling billionaires are planning to manufacture an economic disaster that will disproportionately harm poor Americans.

WASHINGTON, Nov 25 (Reuters) - U.S. farm industry groups want President-elect Donald Trump to spare their sector from his promise of mass deportations, which could upend a food supply chain heavily dependent on immigrants in the United States illegally.
So far Trump officials have not committed to any exemptions, according to interviews with farm and worker groups and Trump's incoming "border czar" Tom Homan.
Nearly half of the nation's approximately 2 million farm workers lack legal status, according to the departments of Labor and Agriculture, as well as many dairy and meatpacking workers.

SpaceX and CEO Elon Musk were hit on Wednesday with a lawsuit from eight former employees, who alleged they were illegally fired for raising concerns about sexual harassment and discrimination against women at the company.
Why it matters: The lawsuit comes just a day after a Wall Street Journal report alleged Musk has had sexual relationships with at least two SpaceX employees and has made sexually inappropriate comments toward other women at the company.
The women Musk allegedly had sexual relationships with included a former intern he later hired onto his executive team, according to the Journal's report.
After another alleged sexual relationship with an employee fell apart, the woman received "recriminations over text and email" as she left the company. She also signed an agreement prohibiting her from discussing her work for Musk.
Musk allegedly asked another woman employee to have his babies during exit negotiations in 2013.
Context: The suit stems from firings in 2022 after some employees helped write an open letter criticizing Musk's behavior in public and on social media.
The employees said Musk was a "frequent source of distraction and embarrassment" for them and a threat to the company's reputation and urged company executives to publicly condemn Musk's actions.
The same former employees are pursuing a National Labor Relations Board complaint against the company.
What's inside: In the lawsuit the former employees — four men and four women — alleged they were illegally fired after helping write the open letter to challenge "unlawful conduct" within the company.
The conduct highlighted in the suit included Musk allegedly "treating women as sexual objects to be evaluated on their bra size, bombarding the workplace with lewd sexual banter, and offering the reprise to those who challenge the 'Animal House' environment that if they don't like it they can seek employment elsewhere."
What they're saying: Paige Holland-Thielen, one of the plaintiffs, said in a statement that filing the lawsuit "marks an important milestone in our quest for justice," adding that she hopes it encourages SpaceX employees to keep "fighting for a better workplace."
Anne Shaver, an attorney with Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein representing the plaintiffs, said company management "knowingly permitted and fostered" a work culture "rife" with sexual harassment.
"To have been terminated for protesting SpaceX's utter failure to take basic measures to prevent sexual harassment is patently retaliatory, wrong, and actionable," Shaver said.
SpaceX did not immediately respond to Axios' request for comment.
Musk previously denied a sexual harassment complaint from a former employee in 2021, who said she was paid $250,000 by the company after he exposed himself to her and offered to buy her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage.
