Guess what Lin Wood is being investigated for?

https://twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/1356744205054394369

Breaking WSB-TV: Pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood is under investigation by the Georgia Secretary of State over whether he voted illegally in the November election.

EDIT: From the linked story:

Sources at the secretary of state’s office say an email that Wood sent to Gray caused them to launch an official investigation.

In the email, Wood confirmed he moved to South Carolina, writing “I have been domiciled in South Carolina for several months after purchasing property in the state in April.”

Now state election investigators are looking into whether that means Wood legally should not have been able to vote in the November election.

They site a section of Georgia code that reads “If a person removes to another state with the intention of making it such person’s residence, such person shall be considered to have lost such person’s residence in this state.”

Durbin: Still negotiating over the Senate organizing resolution

https://twitter.com/igorbobic/status/1356643155756670976

Schumer and McConnell still negotiating over the Senate organizing resolution, per Durbin. McConnell didn’t answer when asked what the hold up was earlier today.

The delay over the organizing resolution, which gives the committee gavels to Dems, is already impacting Biden’s nominees. Durbin can’t set a hearing for Garland because Graham is still chairman. Graham wants a 2 day hearing, refusing to set one before the impeachment trial.

“They’re hoping to get that done today,” Barasso says

McConnell rips into MTG!

Oh my god I love to see Republicans fighting!

https://thehill.com/homenews/house/536850-mcconnell-says-taylor-greene-a-cancer-to-gop-country?rnd=1612224945

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday blasted Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s embrace of “loony lies and conspiracy theories” as a “cancer for the Republican Party.”

“Somebody who’s suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality,” McConnell said in a statement first shared with The Hill.

New: archived Parler posts show that Congressman Matt Gaetz's press assistant was cheering on Capitol rioters from across the street, even after they broke through multiple police barricades.

Romney criticizes Trump's endorsement of MTG

Republicans in disarray! IMHO, we need to focus as much attention as we can on strife within the Republican party.

No organizing resolution in the Senate yet

Could someone explain why we do not have an organizing resolution in the Senate yet?

https://twitter.com/jamiedupree/status/1354905784438706180

The Senate adjourns until Monday afternoon. Senate Majority Leader Schumer made no mention of any agreement with Republicans on the organizing resolution. So - GOP Senators are still in charge of committees at least into Monday.
