(24,259 posts)I went with mostly for two reasons.
1) One of the valve stems on our only working vehicle has to be replaced so hubby will be going to the small local garage down the road. I'm not thrilled with it but we live on a small farm in the country and have to have a vehicle that is okay to go if needed.

2) Unfortunately we'll also need a few supplies from the market and Tractor Supply in town at the beginning of next month when our Soc Sec comes in. We're stocked up well enough until then.
ATM my 'plan A' is to order things online and have them either delivered or brought out to hubby, who will wear a mask (for this he's shaving his beard off after 24 yrs of having one) and gloves while out.
When he gets home... before coming inside he'll spray his shoes down with Lysol, remove the mask and gloves. Once inside he'll immediately strip, toss his clothes into the wash, and take a shower. Everything from the stores will either be wiped/sprayed down with a disinfectant or left in the truck for 24 to 48 hours.
Just to help us keep our sanity we might go for a ride in the truck over to the river a time or two a month just to sit in the truck, watch the river and enjoy our mug of coffee from home.
Basically 'social distancing' plus all safety precautions will definitely be practiced any time it's not just the two of us.
