Along with cocaine, meth, and opioids, I'd also wager. These groups have historically avoided marijuana and alcohol (except beer) because as downers they impede the asshole buzz they want. Along with the association of those drugs with the groups they hate.

The steroids also explain why they describe themselves as "boys".
