(5,199 posts)32. I'm in SE Michigan. My sister is 78 and I'm 74 with chronic heart condition.
Have no idea of when we'll get vaccine. Have signed up everywhere available for our area. Michigan seems to have a bit of a problem with distribution. Staying isolated isn't physically difficult for us, but certainly emotionally stressful. But to be honest I'd rather the medical people, teachers, and so called essential workers get theirs first. Which may be why we haven't pushed really hard to get the vaccine. It seems so much more necessary for others. I truly understand those in nursing homes and those with with conditions like diabetes, but for myself I will be happy to get the shots but also happy to have others more in need to get theirs first.

I am 64 and just talked to my local clinic...diabetic and other...still said not until "next year"..
