1. I've been against the electoral college since 1972

when I was in Poli Sci. I deemed it a catastrophe waiting to happen. I have always thought that it suppresses the vote. What you end up with are candidates that become hostages to a bout 6 states. Imagine if w either the republican or the democratic candidates decided to campaign in Texas or California to get 2 additional points to their total. It makes the candidates much more responsive to the people
