At the kindness and decency through right wing propaganda.
They have completely desensitized most of our country to hatred and mean spiritedness.
People aren't victims, though. There has to be a willing submission to it at some point. Past that they succumb to it and are pretty much lost.
They are told THEY are victims, and that justifies everything.
It's Germany early 1930s. Hard to see how we avoid a lot of what comes after that.
