11. I've learned that there are greedy, selfish, dishonest and even evil folks

Here's a very simple example of dishonesty. I went into a bill paying establishment last week. There were only about five of us in there. A woman behind me found an earring and said to the other woman who was leaving I think you dropped an earring. The woman stopped and took it. Instinctively I felt my ear and knew it was my favorite pearl and said to the original lady - that is mine. She immediately took it back from the woman who was walking off with what was clearly not hers. She saw the other one on my ear and said why are people so dishonest. Why couldn't she just say - that's not mine.

This is a trivial example but that woman was perfectly willing to steal my earring.
