40. Yes, we are steeped in VERY misogynistic religious framing that permeates our entire culture.

Christianity is the main one, of course. The only characters that really matter in these mythologies were written as male, especially the omnipotent creator/ruler of the universe and his "son" (who is also himself, go figure). Gee, big surprise that primitive patriarchal societies in the Middle East of a few thousand years ago would make up stories where only males are worthy of power and respect. And the virtues of "faith" (i.e. belief in the absence of evidence) is still pushed heavily to make people fall in line with this women-hating framing.
