5. I've been wondering how "we the people" can help support the writers'

strike. It sounds like it is expected to be very protracted, but maybe, just maybe we can help shorten it.

I'm considering (yes, I'm waffling) closing all the streaming services we use until a contract is signed that the writers' union finds acceptable.

I'm waffling because 1) I love the stories in the series I follow and it will definitely cut down on a lot of pleasurable times; and 2) my husband is several times more of a TV / movie nerd than I am, and I'm not sure I'll persuade him to do so.

But in the meantime, I'm messaging that if these giant media corporations don't come to satisfactory terms with the writers' union within a month, I'm prepared to cancel my streaming services.

Hope I won't have to follow through – or that if so, my husband is on board with it.
