34. How is a trumpist any different than a sports team fanatic?

They all buy! into the messaging and tune out anything that makes them think (cognitive dissonance.)

Same with religions. Same with people that develop a crush/hatred/aversion/etc. on someone or some other group.

Get people to buy into the message and you own them. They'll buy $200 tickets to a senseless game or tithe 10% to a stupid cult. And they can't be convinced otherwise.
