4. I have 18 panels on my roof

Installed 8 years ago, and the savings have been tremendous. Solar energy that is not immediately consumed is sold back to Jax Electric Authority (the "community-owned" utility here), and they turn around and sell it to my neighbors.

A storage battery was not a practical option at that time, although -- now that the storm season is here -- I'm considering getting such a system for emergency back-up. Would have installed more panels, but my rooftop gets almost no direct sunlight with the afternoon shade from the live oak trees along the street. And in Jacksonville, live oak trees have better protection than the people who live here.

Personally, I'd love to see a windmill farm off the east coast. Just within sight of Mar-a-Lago!
