(58,230 posts)I have not heard back from Mark, which indicates to me that he has been told he is being vetted, and has not said he is not interested.
Again, if I do hear from him and he says please say nothing, I will post nothing.
I realize Beshear brings little to the table, but I like him plenty, though I don‘t know his foreign policy experience. With today‘s world, you had better either have it, or acquire it before the inauguration. Buttigieg does offer that, as well as probably the highest IQ in the class. I don‘t know Shapiro much, but he seems to bring much to the table, not the least of which is Pennsylvania. Like Buttigieg being gay, Shapiro being Jewish doesn‘t bother me in the slightest. I would just hope that the „I hate Israel“ crowd would be smart enough to understand that the US VP being Jewish would not mean that we would suddenly be basing the 82nd Airborne in the Negev.
They all bring something to the table, and the vetting process is well underway. I say, let them get to it, let Harris make her decision, and THEN get on with it. In a situation where there really is NO „wrong“ choice, it‘s not worth ignoring all else that needs attention.
