…saddle them with kids they don’t want, punish women for getting pregnant, destroy LBJ’s “Great Society” programs like Head Start, defund public schools by directing tax money to charter schools and make the public schools a place of last resort…

Punish women even more by forcing births on them even if it kills them. Shame women for having babies “out of wedlock” as Alito so charmingly put it and make sure part of their punishment is to have no public assistance and so remain stuck in poverty. Force women to stay married even if their husband beats the shit out of them and their kids.

We are a country that wastes tons of food every year. IIRC the first school lunch program was started by FDR, and the reason he was able to get it pushed through was not because Republicans had a heart transplant but because so many draftees were 4F from diseases of malnutrition like ricketts. Our kids still have diseases of malnutrition, but now it’s obesity, high blood pressure, and above all, diabetes.

The GOP has never valued human beings, starting from pregnancy. If they actually cared about the unborn they would expand the WIC program instead of trying to kill it.

Who do their policies serve? Why keep a large segment of the population uneducated and poor and unhealthy? Why do this on purpose? Why make joining the Army the “best” (or only) way out of poverty and lack of education? Why promote an all-white all-male army?
