It's subtle, but that tells me Vance overstepped.
I actually wanted to add another line or two in the above post about how you never touch your boss on the arm. EVER. It shows you don't know boundaries.
However, in the above post, it was extraneous.
One time, just for a joke, my department head (Communication Dept) and I were walking down a wide corridor, conversing. I decided to touch his arm, since we'd just discussed this topic in his office. I did so and did I ever get a look.
Then I burst out laughing and told him I was just testing out what we teach the students. Fortunately he has a great sense of humor and we both were laughing.
